The FONE Staffing Study Results Presentation and Statewide Discussion Group Summary are available to view online or you can download as a Power Point Presentation for offline viewing. The online presentation is best viewed using Internet Explorer and you may need to allow "Active X" to run if prompted. The presentation can be viewed in Outline Mode which displays a summary of all slides and allows you to self navigate or you can view the presentation as a Slide Show which runs automatically . Please note that the Staffing Study Results Presentation contains a voice narrative. If you would like to view the presentation without sound, view the presentation in Outline Mode or turn off the sound on your computer.

The Florida Organization of Nurse Executives (FONE) is seeking candidates for their annual "FONE Nurse Leadership Award." The purpose of the award is to recognize the accomplishments of a Nurse Leader. We invite you to nominate individuals in your organization or from another facility. Any member of FONE, regardless of his/her position in their organization, is eligible for nomination.

The following officers will be elected for the 2008-2010 term.

President-Elect Chairs the Strategic Planning Committee. Serves as President-Elect for the 2008-2009 term. Serves as President of the organization for the 2009-2010 term. Serves as Past-President for the 2010-2011 term.

Secretary Documents the business activities of FONE. Chairs meetings in absence of President and President-Elect. Serves as Historian.

Treasurer Chairs the Budget and Finance Committee. Responsible for the financial affairs of FONE.

Director - Region II Represents the counties of Citrus, Sumter, Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough, Polk, Manatee, Hardee, Highlands, Sarasota, DeSoto, Charlotte, Lee, and Collier. Chairs a committee as appointed by the President.

Director - Region IV Represents the counties of Lafayette, Dixie, Hamilton, Suwannee, Columbia, Gilchrist, Levy, Baker, Union, Bradford, Alachua, Nassau, Duval, Clay, St. Johns, Flagler, Putnam and Marion. Chairs a committee as appointed by the President.
Each position involves a two-year commitment of service except the President-Elect, which is a 3-year term. The office is assumed at the close of the Fall meeting. The President-Elect serves one year, followed by one year as President and one year as Past President. The By-Laws require that the candidates for the position of President-Elect must have previously served on the Board of Directors. Directors serve two years in their elected position and will chair one of seven committees, as assigned by the President. You must be an Active Member of FONE.

FONE - Research Grant 2008 |
|
The FONE Board of Directors and members of the FONE Research Committee are pleased to announce the availability of a FONE Research Grant. The purpose of the grant is to support novice or beginning investigators in conducting nursing administration and leadership research. One grant, in the amount of $1000, will be awarded annually at the Spring FONE meeting. As a condition of receiving the award, recipients will agree to present the findings of their study at a subsequent FONE meeting and provide progress reports to the FONE Research Committee every six months for the duration of the project. Grant recipients are encouraged to attend the FONE Spring meeting to accept the award in person and provide a brief overview of the proposed study.
