Gaining Alignment, Action & Accountability – Leading Through Changing Environments

Overview: In the healthcare industry there are constant external factors that drive change. Part of any successful nurse leader’s job entails the ability to effectively communicate and motivate staff about change to ensure buy-in and smooth transitions. This program will enable participants to develop action plans on how to successfully communicate change – personally and when interacting with staff

Objective: Enable nurse leaders to better lead, motivate, manage & communicate change with staff. Skills sets learned will enable nurse leaders identify how staff will adapt through changing environments and develop action plans to smooth the transition. Skill sets nurse participants will learn:

How to better communicate change to respective staff

How to identify how each staff member will deal with change and develop tailored approaches to help the transitionHow to map out the “ripple effect” of actions

How to identify and leverage the champions for change

Why people resist change – and why leaders must break down barriers

Helpful hints to maximize change for success
